Create local database

Create a local PostgreSQL instance with Docker from Fakebase.

With Fakebase it's super simple to spin up a local PostgreSQL database. You pick a name and a port in the app - no Postgres install, no terminal setup, and nothing to configure outside of Fakebase.

Create a local database

  1. Open the Create local database dialog with ⌘P, or choose Create local database from the connection picker in the header.
  2. Enter a name and a host port.
  3. Submit. Fakebase creates the database and opens it in the studio.
